Jacob Allen

One half of the beloved Shark Racing pair, Jacob Allen has only been on the sprint car scene since 2012, but has accrued a die-hard fan base over the years with his never-say-die attitude and refreshing effort he puts into competing against the World of Outlaws Sprint Cars. A third-generation racer behind grandpa, Joe Allen, and legendary father, Bobby Allen, Jacob is the newest Allen boy on the block and carrying on the tradition. Beginning in 358 sprint cars, Allen snagged victories at Lincoln Speedway, Trail-Way Speedway and Susquehanna Speedway throughout 2012 in Pennsylvania. Joining the World of Outlaws Sprint Cars as a full-time member in 2014, Allen spent his opening two campaigns with WoO adjusting to the new scenery, adapting to the immense competition, and finalizing his transition to 410 racing. In 2016, the first signs of his future promise were showing with podium performances at Ocean (CA) Speedway and Oshkweken (Canada) Speedway. Another solid learning campaign followed in 2017, but Allen came busting out of the gates with a career-year in 2018. He earned a career-best finish of 11th in World of Outlaws points and was a factor on a handful of occasions as he challenged mightily for his first-career WoO victory at several different tracks. He concluded the year with career-high numbers such as nine top five finishes and 16 top ten finishes. He also qualified for his first-career Knoxville Nationals main event and proved to the world that Jacob Allen had arrived and he was to be taken serious. Partnering with Team Drydene, Allen and Shark Racing are prepared to launch a full-on assault on the World of Outlaws Sprint Car Series in 2019 with another record year expected.
