Carlos is an official IndyCar Series race driver, the most important series about formula cars in the United States. He reached the top of American motorsports after shining in the Indy Lights Series, with 6 wins , 6 pole positions and 10 podiums in just two years in the Road to Indy program.
Muñoz will have 16 races this season in seven months. The new chapter open the year in the streets of St. Petersburg, Florida and will finish in Somoma.
Four-time IndyCar Series champions Andretti Autosport confirmed that Carlos Muñoz will return to the team’s roster for 2016 IndyCar season. Muñoz, who will drive the No. 26 Honda, returns alongside teammates drivers Ryan Hunter-Reay and Marco Andretti.
Muñoz made his IndyCar Series debut at the 2013 Indianapolis 500 where he earned Rookie of the Year honors for starting on the front row and finishing the race in the second position.
